PROPS ALLOWED

 

Newspapers: When Brad and Janet are caught in the storm, Janet covers her head with a newspaper The "Plain Dealer". At this point, you should likewise cover your head.
Water pistols: These are used by members of the audience to simulate the rainstorm that Brad and Janet are caught in. (Now do you see why you should use the newspapers?)
Lighters, flashlights: During the "There's a light" verse of "Over at the Frankenstein Place," you should light up the theater with flashlights and lighters. (Be careful to respect the theater's policy about open flames - remember you are wearing newspapers on your head!)
Rubber gloves: During and after the creation speech, Frank snaps his rubber gloves three times. Later, Magenta pulls these gloves off his hands. You should snap your gloves in sync each time to create a fantastic sound effect.
Noisemakers: At the end of the creation speech, the Transylvanians respond with applause and noisemakers. You should do the same.
Toilet paper: When Dr. Scott enters the lab, Brad cries out "Great Scott!" At this point, you should hurl rolls of toilet paper into the air (preferably Scotts).
Party hat: At the dinner table, when Frank puts on a party hat, you should do the same.
Bell: During the song "Planet Schmanet Janet," ring the bell when Frank sings "Did you hear a bell ring?"
Cards: During the song "I'm Going Home," Frank sings "Cards for sorrow, cards for pain". At this point you should shower the theater with cards.

 

 

PROPS NOT ALLOWED

Rice: At the beginning of the film is the wedding of Ralph Hapschatt and Betty Munroe. As the newlyweds exit the church, you should NOT throw the rice along with the on-screen wedding guests because it attracts rodents.
Toast: When Frank proposes a toast at dinner, members of the audience WILL NOT  throw toast into the air because it attracts rodents.
Confetti: At the end of the "Charles Atlas Song" reprise, the Transylvanians throw confetti as Rocky and Frank head toward the bedroom. You should NOT do the same.
Hot dogs and prunes: It has happened on occasion, that fans will throw hot dogs and prunes at their appropriate mention in the film. This should NOT happen because it attracts rodents and leaves stains on the screen.

 

 

DRESS

Men & Women

 

  1. Red lipstick
  1. Dress up as one of the RHPS Characters
  1. Black corset, black capris and platform shoes
  1. Evening dress ( including Bowtie + cumber bund), lingerie, biker gear or any combination of similar.
  1. If its your first time you have to draw a v on your forehead (for virgin) so you can be devirginized
  1. Gray leggings and a black t-shirt that has royal type letters
  1. Fetish Gear
  1. A corset and garter with fishnets, heels. 
  1. Goth/Punk Styles
  1. Long black frizzy wig
  1. Stockings and suspenders
  1. Leather teddy and fish net stockings
  1. Shorts, fishnets and a tank top
  1. Fishnets, stilettos and a Basque
  1. You can wear a French maid costume
  1. Nothing - or at least as little as possible. Well, lots of black is usually good. As is lingerie. As are fishnets. Basically, the weirder the better. You'll feel strange leaving the house (or office), but once you get within a hundred yards or so of the theatre, you should fit right in.

What Not to Wear

  1. Suits, these are worn only by people who thought they were booking for 'Phantom of the Opera' or 'Chicago' but dialed the wrong number.
  2. Do not wear anything that may be damaged by the following; water, rice and occasional naked flames.
  3. Sandals, anoraks or anything remotely connected with the acquisition of British Rail rolling stock serial numbers.
  4. Sweatshirts with stripes
